Every month, Talent Propeller will be reviewing various types of media to share an honest and unbiased account of the best media options for recruiting candidates. This is media review #6: Gumtree
MEDIA:
Gumtree
ABOUT THE MEDIA:
Gumtree launched in Australia in 2007 as a local classified ads and community site. Gumtree's aim is to give you a simple and easy-to-use tool that lets you quickly find what you are looking for. You can find everything you need to live your life with the help of your local Gumtree community; from that unique item at a bargain price to your dream machine car, a job or a flat, a nanny for your kids or a language teacher to help you learn that new language

WHAT WE LIKED:
WHAT WE DIDN’T LIKE:
OUR VERDICT:
Don't bother! Gumtree is well known as a marketplace, but does not deliver for jobs. Anecdotally, we have heard that it can perform well for finding freelancers and in some trades positions, but we haven't seen results for us or our clients. Spend your time and money elsewhere.
